Cost of Internet Church Marketing

Once you have a web site for your church, you want people to find it in the search engines. If they search online for a local church in your area, you want your church's web site to be there. You can advertise your church in the search engines using PPC (pay-per-click)

PPC or Pay Per Click
The cost to use PPC varies. Depending on the competitiveness of the keywords you have selected and your desired position in the rankings, your cost per click can have a wide range. The good thing about PPC is that you can set your daily and monthly budget to whatever you would like. If you don't want to go over $100 a month, you can set your ads to stop when this amount is reached. The higher your bid per month and per click, the higher your ads will appear in the search results and the more likely people will click on you ad, and visit your church's site.

Not many churches are using PPC at the current time, so you should be able to get competitive results at a fair monthly budget.

You can advertise on Google, Yahoo and MSN. They all have different platforms to advertise, but they are very similar.

SEO or Search Engine Optimization
The cost for your church web site to show up in the natural or organic results varies. While you don't have to pay per click to arrive in these results, your web site has to be built search engine friendly. Ask your web designer if they can optimize your site to rank in the search engines. If they don't specialize in SEO, there are many companies that do. Make sure that the company you choose has proven results. There are never any guaranteed results with SEO, but before you hand out a lot of money to someone, make sure you feel confident they can do that job.
